This honeysuckle is the same species as the Coral Honeysuckle, only with a yellow bloom instead. Its yellow blooms (100+ days in spring/summer) are stunning. Grow it along a trellis or covering a west- or south-facing wall. It also works well as a groundcover for a mulched garden bed, covering up to 50-75 square feet with dark green leaves that will help keep the soil cooler with its shade in a hot summer. An excellent groundcover for a new garden with perennial plants that have not yet filled in all the gaps between plants. After the flowers are done blooming, you'll notice little red berries. Birds love to come for a visit to eat these!  Learn more at Native Gardeners.
