Native to south Texas and highly drought tolerant, the Goldeneye is a great plant for a slope facing West since it can tolerate harsh, afternoon sun. Bright yellow blooms offer dramatic color for 100+ days in late summer and help attract many different types of butterflies. In late spring, give it a prune to 18" to encourage a bushier appearance.
