Plant this behind a Fall Aster, for a beautiful purple and yellow, fall blooming combo. Goldenrod is a classic prairie wildflower, attracting tons of tiny little insect pollinators that make it a wonderful plant for school gardens to ID these insect visitors. This species (S. nemoralis) is one of many goldenrods, and better suited for home gardens where it is less likely to spread quite as much via rhizome.
