Great for hot, dry, sunny areas, Firewheel (also called Blanketflower) is an annual wildflower that will cast seeds and return next year. It's one of our most iconic wildflowers that grows all across the state of Texas. An excellent addition to the front of a garden bed, at only 2 feet tall, and highly tolerant of drought. In fact, drier conditions are best to avoid it getting leggy. Having a few of these around will help keep your garden full of Gorgone Checkerspot and Bordered Patch Butterflies who lay their eggs on this plant for their young to eat.
