Fall Aster is a must-have to offer pollinators more flowers in late fall, blooming during October and November, the same time as the Gray Goldenrod. It can thrive on low water, but will also do well in moist soils. Start with two and after their first year of growth, dig up and divide the rhizomes in quarters for six new plants to expand your garden. It benefits from being trimmed back in late spring, to encourage a bushier growth. Learn more at Native Plant Society and Nativo Gardens
